Implantations toriques ou incisions relaxantes pour des astigmatismes inferieurs à 3 dioptries?

Cataract Hong Kong – mechentel news – Dans le Br J Ophthalmol. de Juin 2015, DK Lam et son équipe ont montré que les deux procédures, implantations toriques ou incisions relaxantes étaient efficaces pour des astigmatismes < 3 dioptries mais que les incisions relaxantes étaient plutôt sous correctrices. L’étude était prospective randomisée sur 60 yeux. Le résultat à trois mois comportait la meilleure acuité visuelle non corrigée, la sensibilité aux contrastes, la stabilité rotationelle de l’implant et l’indépendances aux verres. La vision des contrastes et l’astigmatisme ont été amèliorés après la chirurgie dans les deux groupes. L’independance aux lunettes était plus élevée dans le groupe des implants toriques.(pb)
